Our wonderful journey began on November 5th, 2007 when I sent an email to Lifeline Children's Services to inquire about a beautiful little girl named Guan Zhao Xia. I received a phone call from Karla at Lifeline about 2 minutes after the email was sent, offering to send additional pictures and information about this adorable waiting child. One look was all it took for me to know that she was waiting no longer. This was my daughter. I quickly emailed the photos and information to Chris and his instant reaction was the same. We had found our daughter. We firmly believe that, all along, God had a plan and had finally begun to reveal it to us. All of a sudden it was very clear and the past couple of years began to make a little more sense. I am certainly not admitting to a lack of patience, but God had his own path for us and he wasn't going to let me mess it up by rushing everything, as I (sometimes) have a way of doing!
So here we are trying our best to get our beautiful Lizzie home. We sent our LOI on November 21 and received our PA over Christmas - yeah!! Care packages here we come!!! I am determined to send so many that they will be begging us to come and take her home!!! Our HS is done and waiting to be approved by DSS. It will then go to CIS where it will also be approved along with our fingerprints and then we wait for our 171 document so our dossier can be authenticated (10 days) and sent to China!! Then the real wait begins - not something I am particularly good at!
Anyway, we have been working so hard to get you home my sweet Lizzie. I pray every night that God holds you close and keeps you safe for us. Your Daddy, your brothers (you have 3), your precious "twin" sister and I cannot wait to hold you and "take care of you forever" as Caleb tells us often.
"To the world you are one person. To one person you are the world."
We are hoping to travel in June. Keeping fingers crossed!!! Her name was given to her in the hopes that she will be as beautiful as the rosy clouds of dawn.
